It’s Spring Break time, and for many families that means one word – road trip….okay I guess I mean two words. Here is a travel Bingo game that your kiddos can play in the car on your next road trip, at home, or in the classroom.
Road Trip Bingo
To use the travel bingo game in the car, print off the bingo pages. Laminate them or place them in a page protector sheet. You can then place a bingo game board on a clip board and use them with dry erase markers or crayons, or you can place it on a magnetic board or cookie sheet and use magnetic markers.
As you are driving along, kids (and grown ups) can watch for different colored cars, trucks, and SUVs on the road. When they see a vehicle that matches a vehicle on their game board, kids can mark the space with an X or they can add a magnetic marker to the space. The first person in the car to cover four spaces in a row is the winner. You can also challenge kids to try to fill their game board.
Note that I added blue diagonal lines to the game boards. My kiddo has a difficult time seeing the diagonal row, and these lines seem to help.
Transportation Bingo Game
You also can use this activity a couple different ways in the home or classroom. Print off both the bingo game boards and the vehicle cards. Place the vehicle cards face down in a pile. Children can take turns selecting a card, all the kids search for that vehicle on their game board, and cover the space with a marker (pennies, buttons, blocks, etc.). The first player to cover four spaces in a row is the winner.
Transportation Matching Activity
You can also use the set as a simple transportation activity. Use the bingo game boards and 1 set of vehicle cards for each game board. Kids can select a vehicle card, find the matching card on their game board, and place the card upside-down on their game board. They can continue until they have matched all of the vehicles on their game board.

I hope that find this little travel game and transportation activity to be helpful. I’m sure that you can think of additional ways to use the set, and I would love to hear them.
