You, your kids, and their parents will LOVE these preschool memory books. They are the perfect end of the school year activity for your preschool, pre-k, or kindergarten classroom.
There are lots of end of the school year activities out there. Unfortunately, many of them are too advanced for early childhood educators to use. I have designed a memory book specifically for little learners. The printable contains MANY options so that you can personalize the books for your kids.
You can adapt this end of the school year activity for the abilities of your children and for the time that you are able to work on the project.
Two Size Options
The memory book resource includes both full sheet and half-sheet options so you can print the size that you prefer. You can customize your covers with kids’ names, your school name, and year.
Begin By Printing the Thumbnail Pages
Because there are so many page options, I recommend that you print off the thumbnail pages at the beginning of the document. These thumbnail pages help you to easily see all of the options. Check of the pages that you want to print and print your selection.
Here are some of the pages that you can add to your book:
- Title page (can be customized)
- Self-portrait or photo pages
- Class photo page
- Handprint page
- Teacher page
- Favorite activity, song, book
- Editable favorite page
- What I learned this year…
- I was proud when….
- I am good at…
- When I grow up I want to…
- My summer plans…
- My friends
- Customize an editable page
- A note from my teacher/teachers
Customize the Editable Pages
Some of the pages allow for some customization. The editable pages are set up as a form. You will need to click on the existing text, delete it, and add your own text into the form. There is no need for you to install special fonts, but you will need the newest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader in order for the font to appear as pictured.
After you have printed all of the pages, you can help your kids complete their books.
Complete Your Preschool Memory Books
You can help kids complete their books by writing in their answers. There are plenty of opportunities for kids to draw and color. Do what works best for you.
The resulting book is something that kids and parents will treasure. I’m sure that some of your books will even be saved and displayed at future high school graduation parties.
What are Teachers Saying about This Resource?
“This was my favorite project all year. Saying goodbye to students is never easy but it was so great going over our “yearbooks” together and remembering all of our fun times. Such a great product that students and parents love”
“I used this with my preschoolers for the last few weeks of school and they turned out great! Nice graphics for the kids to color and a really sweet keepsake for them to take home.”
