Letter X Q-tip Painting Activities

X doesn’t show up at the start of many words, and it’s sound is actually heard when it’s used at the end of words, so this q-tip painting set takes a different approach and tackles the letter from both directions. Letter X q-tip painting activities start with the letter X template, then split into two sets of pictures, three where X opens the word and three where X closes it.

Because X is one of the trickier letters to teach with everyday vocabulary, this set is especially handy for Letter of the Week, where kids need extra exposure to hear the sound in more than one position.
