Valentine’s Day Crafts for Preschoolers
Nothing says February like Valentine’s Day, so it should come as no surprise that most of my ideas are for Valentine crafts. These preschool-friendly crafts are a great way to encourage kindness, creativity, and a little hands-on learning this February.
Valentine’s Day Paper Plate Crafts
Dancing Ribbons – It’s easy to make Valentine dancing ribbons. Cut a circle from the center of a paper plate. Kids can decorate the outside of the plate with stickers and then staple streamers to one side. You can even attach some jingle bells with a pipe cleaner.

Paper Plate Valentine’s Day Bag – Do you need a cute craft to hold your kids Valentines? You can help your kids make this cute bag from paper plates by Crafty Morning.

Valentine’s Day Pipe Cleaner Crafts
Bracelet or Heart – For an easy peasy Valentine’s Day craft, get out some pipe cleaners and pony beads. Kids can thread beads onto a pipe cleaner to make a bracelet, or you can help them bend It into a heart shape.

Heart Wands – Kids can also add beads to a pipe cleaner wand like this one from Ms. Stephanie’s Preschool.

Heart Hole Punch Circles – Speaking of hole punches, here are some hole punch circles that your kids can cut out, color, and punch. Use them for bulletin board, DIY valentines, homemade gift tags, or to make an adorable heart garland.

Collage – Provide a bunch of materials like streamers, yarn, scrap paper, tissue paper, and stickers so that kids can make an open-ended collage. We cut out the collage into a heart shape.

Bleeding Tissue Paper – Use a glue stick to lightly apply bleeding tissue paper squares to a piece of paper. Then, spray the page with water. After the paper dries, you can peel it away to reveal a colorful work of art. Cut the artwork into a heart shape or use it as the background for an art activity.
